So its about time to shut this baby down.

The new site is finished. While there will inevitably be some growing pains during the move, I'm hoping that things should go smoothly.

None of the content from here is going to be migrated to the new site. You will have to register again. Everything will be fresh. I feel good and bad about this, but really there was no choice.

To be sure, this site won't be taken down. It will still be around. It will just be locked so no one can post/comment anymore. You will still be able to browse the archives. And the www.hotelfrankomaha.com domain will be switched to the new site.

After years of using this site, I feel I was able to build a better hotelfrank. For better or worse, some of ancillary features of this site will no longer exist (like PM). But the new site has RSS, its mobile-friendly, and it integrates with Twitter (which may drive some people mad).

For three years this site really hasn't changed, and it is suffering for it. You can see it in the infrequent posts/comments, and I can see it in the stats. Many people don't like the idea of switching the sites, so all I can say is trust me. I think we'll be much better off for it.

Hey, can some one hook us up with a Lawrence band to play a show with us and So Many Wizards at the 8th Street Taproom on 5/20? The guy won't give us that date unless we have a Lawrence band on the bill too, since it is after the semester is over.
